Role: Application Analyst Consultant (Mainframe)

Location: Warren, NJ

Duration: 7 Months

 

Job Description

·   This position will join a team of developers and analysts who work with business and technology partners in the enhancement, upgrade, and maintenance of the client's system

·   The team is responsible for the analysis, design, and development of new programs, enhancements and maintenance changes to the (Mainframe, Exstream, DB2) software and processes necessary to meet and exceed customer expectations

·   This individual will be responsible for the development of these systems and processes, requiring the understanding of complex business and computer systems and full lifecycle SDLC

·   Will identify and drive alternate and best-in-class solutions to meet and exceed current and future needs of the customer. Design, develop, and test client applications using Exstream Software's Dialogue print management software packages while working with various database structures, data definitions, and application development/testing methodologies

·   Duties included coding, testing, debugging, and implementing new systems and changes to existing systems for the design, development, delivery, testing and implementation of client's requirements. Gather and document business requirements from internal and external resources for database and application design

·   Responsible for Exstream Dialogue development which includes assistance in major re-engineering, enhancements and new development efforts

 

Qualifications:

·   Extensive experience including 5+ years experience working in an IT organization with the full scope of understanding Exstream tools and processes

·   5+ years experience in the wireless/telecom industry preferred

·   Experience with bill/invoice design and development

·   Some knowledge/exposure of machine to machine billing

·   Qualified candidate will have expert understanding and experience with HP Exstream

·   Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·   Thorough knowledge of the infrastructure and performance

·   Knowledge of MVS JCL, Cobol needed for development and support of application

·   Java/J2EE development would be a plus.
