SCOPE OF SERVICES  <describe role of consultant, identify tasks and deliverables>

Assist IT staff with the design, implement, procurement and configuration of agency unified communications for voice, fax, ACD, and IVR systems.

• Participate with IT Staff and other City agencies to develop solutions for protecting and benchmarking critical City resources.
• Research, analysis, and create network plans to identify obsolete and legacy network components and provide plan to success upgrade identified elements.
• Develop plans to enhance agency wireless infrastructure.
• Provide IT staff with instructions to identify and mitigate potential security threats/risks.  Assist IT with maintain and enhance network access security policies. These instructions will utilize agency policies, city-wide security policies, and industry best practices.
• This design will include: IDF design, architecture network components, and provide HVAC recommendation.
• Work with IT staff to create Change Controls, SOPs, Network Monitoring, and Network Benchmark documentation.
• Perform other assigned duties as instructed and directed.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.

·         Ideal candidate is required to present proof of the following certifications, specializations, and qualifications:

o    CCIE Certification Number (CCIE)

o    passed CCIE Security Written Exam

o    Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP)

o    Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)

o    Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)

o    Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

o    CQS - Advanced Wireless Design Specialist

o    CQS - Cisco Routing and Switching Solutions Specialist

o    CQS - Cisco Routing and Switching Field Specialist

o    CQS - Cisco IP Communications Express Specialist

o    CQS - Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist

·         Computer-related BS degree with a minimum of 12 years experience of hands on internetworking with a strong emphasis on Cisco related technologies and Data Center Migrations in a medium sized organization

·         Hands on working experience with IOS Firewalls, ASA 55010, Packeteer PacketShaper7500, Cisco Router families, Cisco Core and Access Level Switches, Cisco Unified Wireless Network, Cisco ACS Appliance 4.0, Cisco Personality Blades (Sup720, NAM, IPS, and FWSM), Cisco IP Telephony, MGE Comet UPS, Liebert UPS, and APC InfraStruXure Central

·         Practical experience with the following: PRI lines, EPL lines, SNA, DLSW+, HSRP, EIGRP, 802.1x, EAP-FAST, EAP-LEAP, 802.1a/g/n, 802.1af, IPv4, RADIUS, QOS, LDAP, TACACS+, IPSEC, and Site to Site VPNs.

·         Must possess strong verbal and excellent written communications skills, technology leadership, training and mentoring skills, and exhibit team oriented approach.

·         Must work effectively in a team environment, work well under the challenge of demanding workloads and aggressive deadlines, be flexible, and respond positively to change.

·         Ability to maintain asset inventory and deliver cost-effective technical solutions.
