Position : Data Analyst (10 Positions)

Title: Systems Analyst / Functional Analyst
Candidates be extremely strong. They must have 7-8 years experience specifically with Informatica, Teradata, Oracle and strong SQL. Also need telecom experience.
Must have knowledge of teradata and informatica as a system analyst. There is no coding.
Must have very strong verbal communication skills.
Technical competency area:
Knowledge on Database Technology : TeraData, Oracle and SQL
ETL tools: Informatica
Strong SQL
Writing technical specification based on Business requirement
Must have 8-10 yrs of experience
Must have wireless/telecom experience
These folks will support the System/Data Analysis team that support source systems that feed Business Intelligence and their Enterprise Data Warehouse. They also have projects that support data for their Campaign Mgmt
system.
They need these analysts to analyze source data and to provide Impact Analysis and generate Source System Analysis documentation. They will also provide reverse engineering which means that they will understand target
systems that host the original source data and provide data impact analysis. They will also interact with and be responsible to cooperate with other teams: Architects, Devs, Analysts, etc... THEY MUST HAVE STRONG VERBAL
COMMUNICATION!!!!
From a technical standpoint, they must:
- understand Teradata and Oracle from a analyst standpoint. They will not code, but they need to understand from a technical system analyst perspective.
- understand Informatica and ETL processes
- Requirement analysis and documentation.
Ability to assimilate the holistic view as well the detailed dissection of the business processes
Collaborate with business to define requirements and recommend optimized solutions
Interface with the end users to define and document requirements for data, reports, analysis, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, performance and troubleshooting.
Perform system impact analysis including upstream and downstream impacts, propose solutions and build functional specifications.
Ability to collaborate with data architects and BI developers to translate requirements into technical specifications
Determine and validate potential data sources, build validation plan, assisting with or building scripts, executing the scripts, and communicating results in non-production environment
Plan, facilitate, and participate in working sessions with cross-functional resources
Ability to conduct peer reviews to solicit feedback on materials created
Ability to learn, understand and use new technology/tool and willingness to document as well mentor others in the team
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: - 6-8 years BI analysis experience
Experience in writing SQL and understanding of ETL Development Tools is a must
Experience in logical and physical database design and implementation
Experience using data warehouse or analytic tools for business purposes
Experience with ad-hoc query development (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SAS, or other)
Experience developing reports using a reporting tool or through data extraction queries
demonstrates thorough working knowledge of UML documentation of various business process and modeling to build Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event
Modeling, State Modeling, Process decomposition, and Use Case Scenarios
Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of the system development life cycle and can train others on SDLC concepts
Good at attention to detail, time management, work prioritization, multi-tasking, estimate tasks, on-time deliverables and task delegation & follow up
Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables.
