Position: Application Database Administrator III (10+ Years)

Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Ft. Worth TX
Duration: 6 months to start
Rate: Around $60/hr C2C All inclusive 

Description:
The right candidate will have the role of a Database Administrator in the Enterprise Data Projects department.
Have system-wide responsibility for the OLTP databases. Monitor the databases and take
appropriate steps to improve system performance. Will also perform Database development tasks for projects which
include but not limited to creating and designing database objects, implementing changes to
different environments, review and provide feedback to development staff regarding effective SQL use. Adhere to
company's technology standards. 

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years Oracle specific experience. Experience in the following
areas is required:
10g and 11g RAC with ASM.
PL/SQL, Query Writing, Data manipulation and Movement etc.
Basic database functionality like memory management, table partitioning, parallelism, tablespaces etc.
Experience with very Large OLTP system with very high transaction rate.
Proactive monitoring and tuning of database/queries in OLTP environments.
UNIX scripting.
Should be able to communicate and work equally well with Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Airline
industry knowledge is a plus. Potential candidates must have a degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
