Job Description 
Utilize and train others on their knowledge of the business processes in their area of responsibility and can work with the Business to define requirements that will drive efficiencies in the business taking into account the entire picture as well as the details. 
Has thoroughly demonstrated knowledge of the business processes and application systems. 
Interviews Business Partner end users to determine and document requirements for data, reports, analysis, training, service levels, data quality, and performance. 
Translates business requirements into system impacts and functional specifications. Assists in the creation of high-level feasibility assessments and IT level-of-efforts. 
Can identify, evaluate and define impacts of changes and provide alternatives. 
Interacts regularly with Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Application Support and Operations 
Translate functional, product, or business requirements into functional / technical specification or use case documents. 
Understands complex systems and dependencies between upstream and downstream systems. Generally assigned to cross-functional and cross-departmental projects with high complexity and cross-system impacts. 
Has thoroughly demonstrated working knowledge to conceptualize, document and communicate innovative solutions to meet or exceed business objectives. 
Coordinates prototype reviews and creates Test Requirements. 
Creates Test Plans and Test Requirements Document and performs high-level testing of Technical deliverables. 
Ability to write SQL queries to test results and ability to create mock up data for testing & reporting. 
Handle multiple assignments/projects simultaneously 
Assist in definition, design, and management 
Build technology roadmaps and advocate best-practices, and lead and mentor other Systems Analysts 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: 
Provides accurate estimates of effort and timelines for completion of assigned tasks. 
Take initiative to determine the need and to design and deliver training to department and business. 
Initiates and executes initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the team. 
Reviews deliverables and provides input for other analysts. 
Creates and delivers articulate and effective oral presentations to a variety of audiences, large or small, internal or external. 
Readily transfers knowledge within the team and company by taking the initiative to identify opportunities. 
Coordinates with production support on system enhancements and provide ongoing operating support. 
Regularly conveys status to stakeholders and management.

Educates the business on the meta-data layer. 

Preferred Skills: Previous exposure to business intelligence/data warehouse based projects
