Responsibilities:
Step in & immediately function in an Essbase & Hyperion Enterprise support capacity for apprx 800 users. Collaborate with Corporate Accounting business partners in projects to leverage Essbase functionality to design & develop solutions. Perform day-to-day support activities with teammates to ensure smooth month-end processing, data loads, and financial reporting; this includes but is not limited to data integrity checks, data validation against source system (HMS), maintenance, problem resolution & direct interaction with users. Assist in the support &/or training associated with the rollout of Essbase to apprx 600 field users.

Required/desired skills:
A minimum of 5 years' experience working with large scale Essbase and Oracle databases development is required.
BA/BS with a concentration in (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Has experience with the latest versions - 11.1.2.1 or 11.1.2.2
Certification in the products are preferred
Finance / Accounting background preferred
Expertise in Hyperion Financial Reporting, EXCEL Add in, Hyperion Smart View for Office + Hyperion Enterprise 6.5 with Retrieve
Expertise in Calc scripts, MaxL, Hyperion business rules, Dimension build rules, Partitioning, Data load rules and report scripts
Experience with EXCEL Macros and VB script
Experience with Financial Data Quality Management (FDQM)
Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
Proven systems analysis, problem solving and diagnostic capabilities.
Experience with analyzing business MIS requirements and working with end users.
Ability to understand technical direction, assess business requirements, develop reporting and database specifications and work to specified deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Experience completing small to complex projects and participating as a team member on projects of moderate to complex scope.
Possess excellent time and self-management skills
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making a must
Highly self-motivated, able to take constructive criticism, and a customer focus mindset
Understanding of Finance business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles and actual corporate reporting requirements. Knowledge and ability to comprehend analytical models and their concepts from across a client's entire organization
Able to work with functional and technical client teams
Strong analytical, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills and must be comfortable communicating with all levels in the organization..
