Functional Job Title MS Business Intelligence Reporting Specialist

Work Location: Long Island City, NY        

Scheduled Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5, 35 hours per week

Assignment Start/End Date: Approximately March 17, 2014 – September 19, 2014

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Job Description:

NYC Gov is currently implementing Microsoft BI Suite (MS Power View, PowerPivot, Data Quality Services) enterprise-wide. DIITT is seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Specialist to:

•        Works with business units to develop specifications for reports.

•        Develops reports and dashboards using Microsoft BI Suite tools.

•        Supports and/migrates any existing reports.

•        Maintains security profiles and permissions within the Microsoft BI Suite environment.

•        Trains staff in the administration and usage of the Microsoft BI Suite

•        Provides SME and support during installs upgrades, fix packs and works with Microsoft BI Suite support for problem resolution.

•        Develops an in-depth knowledge of NYC Gov databases and systems source

Mandatory Skill/Expertise

•        Strong knowledge of database technologies & data warehouse methodologies . 5+ years Required

•        Expert experience using BI tools, preferably Microsoft BI suite (Power Pivot, Power View, Data Quality Services, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS). 5+ years' required

•        Advanced SQL coding and database programming skills required. 5+ years Required

•        Understands BI tool architecture, functions, and features

•        Understands SQL and relational and multi-dimensional database structures and schemas
