Job Overview:

As a UI Designer, you will turn ideas into amazing designs that delight their customers, in an exciting global industry. You will be working closely with User Experience, Product Management, Software and Hardware Engineers in an Agile environment to translate user stories into cutting-edge UI designs. Along with designing the functionality and look & feel of the UI, you will be creating the graphic elements for UI developers to utilize for prototyping and builds. And you will have the opportunity to design for a variety of devices including web browsers, touchscreens, smartphones, tablets, etc.

Responsibilities:

-          Create compelling user interfaces. Collaborate with the lead experience architect frequently to propose new solutions to complex user-centered design problems. Clearly articulate design decisions.

-          Deliver cutting edge, intuitive UI designs, from concept through to launch

-          Define and develop current GUI style guides, standards and design practices, as well as remain knowledgeable about emerging GUI standards and trends

-          Maintain design consistency via the use of style guides, style sheets and enforcement of established standards and best practices

-          Work with UX lead to establish best practices for following GUI standards design and testing in conjunction with stakeholders

-          Develop screen mock-ups to aid in soliciting feedback from user Focus Groups

-          Collaborate with full Agile teams to deliver the desired UI design on time and within budget

Requirements / Skills Desired:

-          4-6 years experience in UI design

-          2+ years in software design (a plus)

-          Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

-          Excellent graphic design skills as well as interaction design skills

-          User-centered Design methodology experience a plus

-          Excellent communication skills and ability to present to all levels within an organization

-          Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends

-          Portfolio review a must

Education Requirements:

-          Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or other new media studies
