Position: Engineer/Programmer

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration- 4 Months Contract to Hire

Rate – DOE

Payment Processing industry experience a must

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops, debugs, tests, and documents software applications to meet specified business requirements

• Participates in most aspects of applications programming and development including software design and code reviews

• Serves in the team on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours

• Evaluates and provides technical solutions for system and process problems

• Provides prompt resolution for system and process problems

• Creates tools for improved processing and supports on call 24/7 on rotation basis

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Needed for the Job:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

• 1-3 years of experience in software development Linux/Unix experience

• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL scripting

• Experience with a shell scripting languages such as Tcl/Tk

• Experience with C/C++

• Ability to trouble-shoot systems and processes

• General knowledge of the software development life cycle

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
