UNIX Architect

Qualifications:
· Strong high level designing experience in:
- Servers (UNIX and Wintel)
- Consolidation and Virtualization
- Storage and backup
- Data Centre build and implementation
- Network (LAN and WAN)
- Database (Oracle/SQL/DB2 etc)
- Disaster Recovery/BCP
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure design, IT operations, Data center maintenance, Vendor co-ordination, Voice & Data Network setups, Application development and End User computing areas in order to review and assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in these areas.
- Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining Sun SPARC UNIX servers and Red hat Linux servers.
- Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining red hat server clusters, load balance cluster and VERITAS cluster
- Experience in installing and configuring Sun Solaris & red hat Linux disaster recovery setups.
- Experience in UNIX version upgrades, migrations and UNIX to Linux migration and vice versa.
- Experience in UNIX & Linux hardware migration projects.
- Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Apache tomcat and other web servers
- Good understanding of red hat virtualization, Sun Solaris virtualization and LPARs
- Knowledge about middle ware and database installation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Good understanding of storage concepts like DAS, SAN, NAS, iSCSI etc.,
- Ability to automate regular management task using tools and scripts.
- Understand customer requirements and prepare technical architectural and design documents
- Sound written and oral communication skills
