Java Developer !! Washington, DC !! 11+ months contract

 

Responsible for the development of J2EE web application software. Focus will be on a "big data" project collecting log data for analysis.

 

Qualifications
o Strong communication skills
o 5+ years Commercial SW development experience
o 5+ years J2EE development utilizing EJB
o Experience with Hadoop, Cassandra and/or elasticsearch
o Experience developing entire stack of J2EE technologies (DB, middle-tier, front end)
o Experience with ORM (object relational mapping) technologies
o Some experience with SQL and JBoss
o BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field

 

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with prior "big data" projects
- Experience with Linux and development on a Unix based system
- Experience with Eclipse IDE
- Experience with Ant and Maven build scripting languages
- Experience with C/C++/Perl
- Experience with Win32 API
- Security and Compliance domain knowledge
