Business Analyst-Retail Domain
Location: Commerce, CA
Duration: 12 Months

Skills:

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
. Strong understanding of Retail domain
. Strong understanding Store operations & Store Ordering processes
. Sound knowledge of Vendor Purchasing processes
. Leads Joint Application Design meetings, driving to the development of a Requirements Document and a technical framework when the session is complete.
. Leads and coordinates business use case modeling by outlining and delimiting the modeled organization.
. Works on multiple, simultaneous projects of which he/she will apply their applicable technical and system functionality background.
. Ability to analyze and document requirements
. Active participation in rolling out fixes to production environment

Roles and responsibility
. Interface with clients and gain understanding of requirements/processes through meetings and discussions.
. Prioritize assignments, handles shifting deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team environment.
. Co-ordinate requirements with development teams and ensure seamless flow of information
. Manage the scope and traceability of business requirements
. Working closely with the business to review and challenge business processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and are bench marked externally
. Collaborate with the Business Lead to ensure business organization and skills are integrated to the business architecture."

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills
. Understanding of software design techniques including object-oriented analysis and design techniques using the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
. Strong analytical, organizational and teamwork skills.
. Experience showing flexibility to cope with a changing environment and short deadlines
. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the enterprise including senior-level executives, business users, and entry-level developers, and operational line staff.
