Position – Data Modeler
Location – New Carrollton, MD
Work Authorization: GC/USC
Job Description –
Responsibilities in this position will include:
• Major recent experience with high volume Data warehouses
• Experience as a Business Intelligence & Analytics Data Modeler
• Experience designing logical and physical multi-dimensional data models
• Ability to guarantee math-model integrity of the analytical systems
• Experience creating and maintaining standards for the data and information definition
(e.g. naming conventions, data type conventions)
• Expertise in providing multi-dimensional data modeling
• Experience integrating Databases using Informatica, preference for MetaData
capabilities
• Design experience setting-up a new Data warehouse and the related parts
• Extensive knowledge in all facets of data warehouse design
Required Education and years of experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related IT field or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
In addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of MS Office Suite,
and demonstrated success in client support, the following are required –
• 6+ years of Senior Data Design and Modeling Experience
• Minimum of 4 years experience with Greenplum and other BigData appliance solutions.
Desired Skills
• Experience with Informatica and Oracle is desirable
• Experience with IBM rational data architect
• Experience with SQL, XML, And R
Our Data Modeler must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum
Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Permanent
Resident that has lived at least 3 years in the U.S., and be Federal Tax compliant. Active IRS
Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
•Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move
about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell
phone, etc.
•Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80%
of time.
Work Environment:
•Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area.
•The noise level in this environment is low to moderate.
